Due to the progress of technology, the VDE regulatory system has become very extensive in recent years and therefore not always easy to understand even for electrical professionals. Almost all topics in the field of DIN VDE 0100 have been reworked in recent years, and some topics had to be taken up additionally. Old-known terms were changed, new ones were added – and because of the rapidly changing technology, technical issues came to the centre of attention, which was hardly ever mentioned before. The work is now in the 18th edition. For many practitioners, it has become a classic for all questions around the topic of planning, construction and testing of electrical low voltage systems. In order to continue to meet this high standard, the entire work has been subjected to a complete revision and the standards and technical regulations updated since the last edition have been taken into account. As in previous editions, the theoretical basics and requirements from standards, especially from the field of DIN VDE 0100, are explained using numerous examples in practical and easy to understand. Over the course of more than 40 years, this guide has become a standard work under the abbreviation “The Pine”.
