Verbal Comprehension Workbook for the WISC-V is a specialized resource created to help children aged 6 to 16 prepare for the Verbal Comprehension subtests of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition (WISC-V). This workbook provides over 180 verbal exercises designed to strengthen skills in the Information, Vocabulary, Comprehension, and Similarities subtests. By offering focused practice in these areas, the book helps children become familiar with the structure and style of the WISC-V while developing critical thinking, verbal reasoning, and language skills.

In addition to the verbal exercises, the workbook includes 114 Picture Vocabulary items, which are particularly useful for younger children or visual learners. These picture-based activities are designed to enhance vocabulary acquisition, improve word association skills, and provide an engaging way to prepare for the Picture Vocabulary subtest of the WISC-V.

This workbook emphasizes collaboration between children and adults, encouraging parents or educators to guide children through the exercises. Adult support is essential for ensuring that children understand the tasks, stay motivated, and practice effectively. This makes the workbook ideal for use in home or school where adult assistance can foster a structured and supportive learning experience.

The exercises in the Verbal Comprehension Workbook for the WISC-V are tailored to reflect the types of questions and challenges children may encounter on the test, helping to build confidence and reduce anxiety. By systematically practicing with this workbook, children gain the skills they need to perform well on the Verbal Comprehension Index of the WISC-V, while parents and educators have a clear framework to support their preparation.

Designed specifically to align with the WISC-V, this workbook is an invaluable tool for test preparation, skill-building, and fostering essential verbal and reasoning abilities that will serve children well beyond the test itself.
