by Annemarie Schimmel (Author)

بلبلان زیر برف، اثر آنه‌ماری شیمل (نویسنده)

As a book of poems NIGHTINGALES is an inspired reminiscence on places events myths and characters recounted from the viewpoint of a life unusually led. Written between 1974 and 1994 the poems are influenced by the Islamic mystical traditions that have been Annemarie Schimmel’s passion and pursuit all of her life. In particular she is inspired by the verses of Jalaluddin Rumi perhaps the greatest of Persian Sufi poets and increasingly a favourite of many people who now enjoy better access to his work.
