Terrific story. I didn’t want to read at first because the title makes it seem a bit fluff, but I was on vacation and desperate for something light. Boy, was I pleased. The characters are very compelling and the style reminds me of early Kate Atkinson. Highly recommend! Wow!! This is a really good novel. Starts out a little slow but that seems appropriate. The author has taken a innocuous action (searching for a souvenir from your past to give to a child who has a keen interest in the subject) and demonstrated how one small act can change your life forever. It really makes you think about all the little things you do that don’t seem to matter……the things that couldn’t possibly have an effect on you or anyone else.
